This year Crème de la Crème will be celebrating 25 years in business. It is really a little girl’s dream come true of one day owning her own shop like her parents and grandparents.
The journey has provided so much more than I could ever have ever imagined. The dream was one shop selling beautiful things from France. I never imagined it would be something that I would do with my husband. I had a dream and the passion for beautiful things, he had the vision and a business plan.
The memories and relationships we have formed along the way with customers, colleagues and vendors we will cherish forever. This 25 year journey has been nothing but amazing and we look forward to continue our dream.
Going forward, we will continue to work with artisans and offer their unique products in our five brick and mortar stores and online. We still have a lot of work to do to improve our customer experience. In 2025 we will introduce a new signature candle, bring new and antique furniture and introduce other imported artisanal products.
As we look to the future, I like to remember where we started. A tiny shop in Den Haag, The Netherlands called The French Shoppe. We went to France and brought back beautiful fabrics and ceramics. As we traveled, we added items from Italy and other places. It was the fabrics in bright colors from Provence that were always the inspiration. We will begin in January revisiting some of our original suppliers as well as finding new ones.
The last 25 years have been a dream come ttue. None of it would have happened without the support of all our customers. For 2025 we look forward to seeing you in one of our shops, connect through social media and during the Silver anniversary events in one of our shops. Thank you for giving us a reason to celebrate. On to the Gold !
Here’s to 25 years in 2025!
We all need inspiration in our lives. Thanks, Tara & Ben for creating the special environments of Creme de la Creme that have shared our dreams through the unique objects and warm environments you have created. Look forward to a visit to RIchmond's Creme de la Creme, my hometown, on April 4th!
